About us

Raising exceptional lamb with integrity, stewardship & pride

Irrigated pasture below the Beaverhead Mountains near Carmen, Idaho

Locally born & raised

Our sheep are proudly American born and raised at the base of the Beaverhead Mountains near Carmen, Idaho. We are committed to raising lamb the right way, with stewardship, integrity, and respect for the land that sustains us.

Every animal we produce reflects our belief that quality starts long before it reaches your plate. It starts in the pasture. Through responsible farm and animal management, we work hard to keep our sheep and land productive and healthy.

Unique breeding

Our flock is a composite breed originally developed at the USDA-ARS Sheep Experiment Station, combining Suffolk, Columbia, and Texel genetics, three breeds known for maternal strength, structural soundness, and superior growth and meat quality.

The result is a large-framed, performance-oriented lamb that delivers both consistency and excellence. This intentional breeding program lets us produce lamb that stands apart in quality and eating experience.

Specialized finishing program

Our flock grazes on lush, irrigated pasture throughout the growing season and gets high-quality feed during winter, when green forage isn't available. Year-round, our sheep receive a balanced diet formulated and regularly evaluated by our own sheep nutritionist, with the right levels of protein, energy, vitamins, and minerals for optimal health.

Our lambs are pasture-raised alongside the flock, then enter a carefully designed finishing program for their final 60 days: a balanced combination of high-quality forages and grains that supports steady growth and eating quality. The result is lamb that is consistently flavorful, juicy, and tender, with the right amount of intramuscular marbling (the fine flecks of fat within the muscle that create tenderness and depth of flavor).

That combination of marbling, muscling, and thoughtful finishing sets our lamb apart from commodity products. We don't aim to be the biggest. We aim to be the best.

From farm to plate

Every lamb's journey begins in our pastures and ends at your table. We keep hands-on oversight of the entire process, from breeding and lambing to finishing and harvest. That careful management ensures:

  • Animal health and well-being
  • Consistent meat quality
  • Full traceability
  • A product we're proud to serve our own families

By selling directly to consumers, retail partners, and restaurants, we shorten the supply chain and stay transparent about how our lamb is raised.

Supporting our local economy

Our operation contributes to the vitality of our rural community. By working with regional processors, retailers, and food service partners, we help keep food dollars circulating within Idaho, and we buy local feed and supplies whenever possible. Choosing our lamb means:

  • Supporting local agriculture
  • Strengthening rural jobs
  • Investing in American food production
  • Keeping working lands productive

We believe agriculture is more than a business. It is a responsibility to our land, our livestock, and our neighbors.

Our commitment

At the heart of our ranch is a simple promise: raise exceptional lamb with integrity, stewardship, and pride. From pasture to plate, every step reflects our dedication to quality and to delivering a product that truly stands apart.
